Administrative History

The Honors Program Committe was created to set eligibility rules for the program and be final judge of admission, decide on courses to be included in the program, set guidelines and standars for courses or sections of courses, develop proposals for new courses, advise honors students who have not declared majors, and staffing of honors courses. Additionally, they had responsibilities to develop the courses which will take the place of distribution/competency requirements in t he colleges; to review the proposals for honors Seminars; to act as honors advisers for the students in the program; to review the courses offered; to choose the outstanding senior in the Honors Program; to help to choose the speakers for the honors Program/Phi Kappa Phi/Research and Development Lecture Series.
