The College of Education offers a program of teacher instruction and training. The program emphasizes learning theory and inquiry combined with practical application. In 1964 Educational Studies Institute was founded. In 1980 School of Education joined the College of Arts and Sciences. In 2004 the unit became the College of Education (COE). Includes project reports and Masters theses that reflect on Grand Valley State University as a subject.

Grand Forum speaker audio tapes
The Grand Forum is the lifelong learning institute of the Continuing Education Department for adults 55 and older. Through presentations and discussions, held both on and off campus, Grand Forum provides a broad spectrum of stimulating programs in a setting that encourages lively discussion. Audio tapes of Grand Forum lecture series presented by member of the Grand Forum lifelong learning program. Topics include arts, business, current events, history and science.
