Administrative History

Membership is composed of the Vice President for Academic Affairs as Chairman, his staff assistant, all members of the teaching faculty, the head librarian and other professional library staff, and the Director of A-V Services and other professional AV Staff of an academic nature, together with such delegates from other administrative divisions and from the United Collegiate Organization (UCO) as the Assembly may from time to time determine. This Assembly, according to the rules of procedures it adopts, discusses and makes recommendations on any policy proposal involving Academic Affairs which is submitted to it by any member or by the Academic Affairs Policy Council, and elects each academic year from the teaching faculty a member to serve on each of the policy councils. During the same academic year, these four policy council representatives also serve on the President's Policy Council. The Faculty Assembly is governed by a constitution designed and approved by the Assembly in Sept. 1964.
