The Biennial Conference on Chemical Education was hosted by GVSU on August 3-7, 2014. The conference aimed to empower chemical educators and highlight efforts in brining stustainable chemistry to the classroom via symposia and workshops. Sponsors included Hayden-McNeil Publishing, the American Chemical Society - Division of Chemical Education Examinations Institute, LabArchives, GVSU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, DeWitt Barrels, American Association of Chemisty Teachers, Journal of Chemical Education, Purdue University, BlueDoor, Two-Year College Chemisty Consortium, and ACS Western Michigan Section. Plenary Speakers included John C. Warner, Lennie Scott-Webber, Charlie Bamforth, and Holly Walter Kerby. The conference included vendor exhibitions, poster sessions, workshops and symposia, as well as a reception, picnic, and ice-cream social.
