This artificial collection contains video tapes, audio tapes, CDs, and DVDs of Grand Valley State speeches, lectures, events, ceremonies, athletics events, programs, and promotional media. The collection's contents span from 1968 to 2016.

The collection is arranged in eleven series: Presidential Speeches; Commencements; Convocations; Dedications and Groundbreakings; Promotional Media; Student, Faculty, or Departmental produced recordings; Musical Performances and Programs; Lectures, Conferences and Symposia; Student Life and Events; Athletics; and Non-GVSU Media. Each series is further sub-divided by material type: Video Tape, Audio Tape, or Optical Discs.
