The collection is the physical property of Grand Valley State University, but all literary rights are retained by the original creators of materials, their estates, heirs, or third parties. It is the responsibility of the researcher to secure appropriate permissions for publication beyond the bounds of fair use.

Administrative History

The Theatre Department was a unit of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from 2007 to 2019, when it was combined with the Music and Dance departments. From 1983 to 2006 the department was organized within the Communications Division, and from 1973 to 1982 was organized within the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to 1973, theatre courses were available but no formal department existed.
