Abstract The Student Affairs Committee was estalbished by the Planning Board to assist with developing a long range plan for GVSC and to prepare the self-study for the accreditation review by the North Central Association in 1979. The committee was charged with preparing reports on student affairs and making recommendations for the final self-study. Includes minutes from meetings, lists of student affairs issues, recommendations on issues, and the substance abuse program subcommittee minutes.

Content Description Collection contains 18 letters written by GVSU student Diane Posvistak to her parents from 1965 to 1969. Also included are a 1969 "La Grande Vitesse" dedication booklet and 1975 "Grand Valley Gives You a Choice" brochure. Diane's letter include information on classes she took, games and events she attended, her dating life, and a glimpse into the student life on campus at Grand Valley in its early years.

Abstract Richard E. Flanders was a professor of Anthropology at Grand Valley from 1964-1988. After participating in the Korean conflict, he attended Mexico City College, followed by the University of Michigan where he earned his PhD. Flanders developed the sociology and anthropology departments at Grand Valley. Flanders initiated the archeological excavation of the Blendon Landing area on the Allendale Campus. Collection Description The collection contains music scores featuring various instrumentations. Many of the compositions in this collection were commissioned by Arend D. Lubbers, president of Grand Valley, for various people and events at the university. Robert Wepman co-wrote some of the pieces contained in the collection.
Collection Description Mary Schneider started collecting memorabilia of her personal and school experiences while at Union High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan and continued through her enrollment in the Pioneer class at Grand Valley. The collection consists of 4 scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, Grand Valley publications, student records and memorabilia, and correspondence from her tenure on the Alumni Association.
