Scope and Contents 310 stamped air mail envelopes all addressed to Victor J. Harter's wife, Jessie, who lived during 1942 through 1945 with her widowed mother at 9 Madison Avenue, Irvington, New Jersey. There are fewer than ten letters with the envelopes; consequently the chief value of the collection is in the postal markings on the envelopes, including cancellations and auxiliary stamps of the U.S. Army examiners and censors.
