Scope and Contents This collection contains the letters between Dr. Leroy Edward Parkins and his girlfriend, and later wife, Lida Tennant Parkins. Letters from Leroy to Lida show that he spent some time in Georgia and Florida, where he appears to have been first a bookseller and then a land speculator or realtor. Parkins then goes to Boston where he enrolls in Harvard Medical School and studies to be a doctor. While at medical school, Parkins works at E.F.
